One of Shakespeare’s most famous tragedies, Macbeth is a swiftly moving nightmare, which follows the terrifying rise and fall of the Macbeths, a Scottish lord and lady, turned ruthless King and Queen. Their unquenchable ambition turns them into brutal murderers consumed by the dark arts. Is it fate? Is it personal responsibility? How far would you go for ultimate power?

Gamut Theatre brings its regionally recognized Gamut Theatre Summer Academy (GTSA) to the Ned Smith Center for Shakespeare in the Woods 2023! Students rehearse each day for an end of week performance of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth that will take place outdoors at the DeSoto Amphitheater. Please note that there is a performance rain date of Sunday, August 13 at 6:30 PM.
