The Shakespeare in the Woods Young Acting Company presents Romeo & Juliet. One of Shakespeare’s most famous tragedies, this tale of star-crossed lovers follows the exuberant and volatile story of Juliet Capulet and Romeo Montague as their young love rises above the contempt of their feuding families.

Performed by 30 students ages 8-15, the young actors present the most famous scenes from the play. The show runs 60 minutes and has a talk-back discussion between the actors and audience following the performance.

Shakespeare in the Woods Camp is a five-day immersive theater education program taught by Gamut Theatre, central Pennsylvania’s only professional theater dedicated to telling classic stories in new and exciting ways. Students study acting, voice, movement, stage combat and improvisation and have one week to rehearse a play for performance.
